Ophthalmology Interview Course 10th March 2024

The highly successful iSurgeon ST1 Ophthalmology Course - providing the most comprehensive and realistic course in the UK. Unlike other courses, where you have to book onto separate sessions to cover portfolio reviews and lectures, this one day course covers every inch of the process.  The interviews are genuinely reflective of the latest format set out by the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and devised by succesful trainees from the 2023 cycle. This year the interview course will be online and adapted to the NEW format outlined by the RCOphth for 2024. 

1. Three Full Mock Interviews (at least!)

Our bold approach in ensuring each one of our candidates gets to do at least three full mock interviews is based on a well-established technique of practice makes perfect! Each candidate will go through one circuit, get a score and feedback, have time to evaluate how to make improvements and approach the second and third circuit thus immediately act on their feedback! Guaranteeing almost instantaneous improvement.  

2. Portfolio Review: a one-to-one surgical dissection of your portfolio by current ophthalmology trainees based on the latest scoring system as well as walk through of previous successful candidate portfolios. Given that this course date falls after the portfolio deadline, we will arrange one-to-one portfolio review prior. 

3. Lectures: high yield lectures covering top tips & tricks as well as common scenarios that are likely to come up in your interview, to put you in the best possible position to secure that training post. This includes communication skills, clinical conditions, and more! These recieve immensely positive feedback every year and information provided is genuinely reflective of what could come up!
